Virgin Plus set out to redefine what a modern telco could feel like, moving beyond utility to become a brand that enables people to live their plus life. The brief challenged us to differentiate the brand in a crowded mid-tier telecom market while clearly communicating its core offer: affordable unlimited nationwide data, flexible mobile, internet, and TV plans, and value that fits into everyday life. At its heart, the ambition was to spark curiosity about what life could look like with Virgin Plus and build confidence in choosing a simpler, more accessible option for everyone.
The creative direction, “Life on the Plus Side,” explored how the brand could be expressed as a flexible system rather than a fixed campaign. It evolved into “Live Plus,” grounded in the idea that people are already building toward a better version of their everyday, more connection, more freedom, more possibility. The design approach focused on building a modular visual and typographic system that could adapt across retail, product messaging, and promotional contexts without losing consistency or recognition. Photography was treated as a key system component, using authentic, unpolished imagery to reflect real multicultural life rather than stylized aspiration. Combined with a distinctive typographic structure, the system was designed to flex across layouts while maintaining clarity, energy, and a strong brand voice across applications.
